GESTURE SYNTHOpen instrument

Wait-for-you learning

Learn a song without a timer.

Practice uses the same notes and finger cues as Song Quest, but waits for each correct gesture before moving on.

What Practice does

Learn the gesture sequence at your pace.

Practice is a learning mode inside Song Quest, not a separate song library. After a short count-in, the current cue stays on screen until the correct finger count is confirmed.

A wrong shape stays silent. A correct shape shown early can remain held until the step is ready. Practice does not calculate a score, rank, or local best. The picker can play the complete phrase before the run and keep a quiet Beat Pulse as a timing reference.

Good first choice

Use Practice when the song is unfamiliar, the camera is still settling, or you want to learn a new hand shape without rushing.

Run through a song

Let each step teach the next one.

  1. Choose a melodyOpen Song Quest and select a Starter or familiar title from the picker.
  2. Listen firstUse Listen to phrase when the melody is unfamiliar, then leave Beat Pulse on if you want a rhythmic anchor.
  3. Select PracticeChoose the wait-for-you mode before starting the chart. The recommended voice is applied with a mix suited to the song.
  4. Form the large cueShow the requested number with one hand and keep the whole hand visible.
  5. Wait for confirmationHold the shape until the tracker accepts it. The chart advances only after the correct transition.
  6. Follow the full-song barThe CUE counter shows how far you are through the phrase while the smaller timing bar describes the current note.

Understand the feedback

The song advances only after the correct gesture.

Practice shows when a gesture has been accepted. A wrong count, hidden fingertip, or unsteady shape does not play a note. Re-form the target, keep the wrist in frame, and hold until the confirmation completes.

SHOW
First target
Form the opening number and keep it stable until the run accepts it.
CHANGE TO
New target
Move from the previous accepted shape to the displayed number.
HOLD
Same target
Keep the current shape for the repeated chart event. In ranked Quest, a held repeat becomes HOLD ASSIST rather than a scored attack.
No note yet
Try again
The current shape has not been accepted. Check the finger count and keep the full hand visible.

Camera setup

Give the camera a calm, complete view.

Place the phone or laptop on a stable surface about an arm's length away. Face a soft light, keep the wrist and fingertips inside the frame, and separate raised fingers slightly. Avoid a bright window behind the hand and close other camera-heavy tabs.

For the exact one-to-five shapes, including the optional OK-to-three shortcut, read the finger gesture recognition guide.

Move to Quest

Switch to Quest when the shapes feel automatic.

Practice and Quest use the same song and finger cues. After learning the phrase, select Start ranked Quest on the result screen. Quest waits for a stable tracked hand before the countdown begins. Correct new gestures earn PERFECT or GOOD timing grades; wrong or late gestures become a MISS, identify the next target, and reset the combo.

Put a hand in the frame.
